A Video Campaign against Harassment on Girls

Rural and City police forces in Nashik few days ago circulated video clips inspiring girls to speak up and approach the police if they were facing any harassment. A 50 second video clip titled ‘Speak Up’ was shared by City Police showing girls not taking any harassment and lewd comments lightly thus appealing to others to speak up. The commissioner of Police Ravinder Kumar Singal also urged woman to not tolerate any harassment and approach the police who will surely punish the culprits.

In an 8-minute short film shared by Nashik Rural Police, Superintendent of Police of Nashik Rural, Sanjay Darade talks about the ‘Mahila Suraksha Kavach’ scheme which creates awareness about women’s safety. This short film uploaded on Youtube as a part of ‘Say No’ Campaign, delineates the problems faced by women and girls and informs about the ‘Police Sakhi Manch’ and Damini Squad, two special group of volunteers assigned by Nashik Rural Police to prevent harassment on women and girls.
