Today at a Facebook Live event, Filmfare official announced Jio Filmfare Short Film Awards 2018 winners list. Karan Johar, Nikhil Advani, Nitesh Tiwari, Onir, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and Shakun Batra were the prominent jury of filmmakers comprised who did a lot of hard work and efforts on scrutiny selection process from a large number of entries. The awards from all the five sorts were announced by Editor Jitesh Pillai and Shakun Batra.

Much-admired short film Juice won the Best Film Award which was gotten by the film’s director Neeraj Ghaywan. The actress of the film Juice, Shefali Shah won Best Actor (Female) for her awe-inspiring performance in the film. Jackie Shroff secured the Best Actor (Male) for his marvelous comedy in film Khujli. The documentary film Invisible Wings won the award for the category of Best Documentary Film, which was received by Hari M Mohanan while Anahut won for the category of Best Popular Film (winner based on public votes), which was received by the director of the film, Umesh Bagade. The awards had 50 shortlisted fiction films in competition.

Neeraj Ghaywan’s effective short film Juice shows the strength and potency of women in modern society. The film is already among one of the most discussed short films on social media; crossed 2 million views on YouTube. Shefali Shah’s brilliant acting in the film is well praised too. Jackie Shroff’s film Khujli kept his fans amused with remarkable comedy touches. When Umesh Bagade’s film Anahut discussed a quaking story about the loss of innocence, Hari M Mohanan’s documentary is all about a common tea stall owner who traveled the world with his enterprising ways. Ultimately, the awards got to observe a perfect blend of amazing works with premium quality storytelling.

The Jio Filmfare Short Film Awards 2018 got to see nearly 2000 entries from more than 10 languages. 2000 entries were then shortlisted to 50 films which later competed for the awards.
