Sixth Kolhapur International Film Festival To Be Held From Dec 14

6th Kolhapur International Film Festival will be held from December 14 at Shahu Smarak Bhavan. The eight-day long festival has been planned and organized jointly by Kalamarshi Baburao Painter Film Society (KBPFC) and All India Marathi Film Industry Corporation.

According to a statement made by KBPFC president Mr. Chandrakant Joshi, foreign films from many countries, including France, South Africa, Spain, Hungary, Iran, Japan and Vietnam will be screened in this festival. Moreover, Malayalam, Bengali, Hindi and Kannada films will be included to be screened under ‘Vivid Bharti’ section of the festival.

Seven new non-exhibited Marahti films will be screened in ‘ My Marathi’ section. At some point in the festival, awards to be selected by viewers, will be published. Two admired awards — Kalamarshee Baburao Painter and Anandrao Painter — will be awarded to two senior film personalities, including a director and film technician respectively.
